Executive Director

Born In Prince George British Columbia Canada , Matt moved To Alligator, Mississippi at age five. He grew up in Oxford Mississippi. In only 8 short years, he graduated from the University of Mississippi with a BA inArt. His mission in life is to make people feel feelings through art, comedy and films.

Associate Director

Lucy Gaines is a writer, documentarian, and MFA candidate in Documentary Expression at the University of Mississippi. Originally from Jackson, Mississippi, she earned Bachelor’s degrees in English and Studio Art from Rhodes College in Memphis, then moved to Nashville where she worked as a creative director and copywriter. The first movie she snuck into was Bad Boys II and the first movie she walked out of was The Happening.

Logistics Director

Kristin Rogers is a librarian by day and an avid movie and tv watcher by night. She has been a part of the Oxford Film Festival since 2008 in many different capacities. As the Electronic Resources & Discovery Librarian and Associate Professor at the University of Mississippi Libraries, Kristin manages and supports the vast collection of electronic content available for the UM community. The skills of being a librarian melds with the needs and work of handling festival logistics. For the 2024 festival, Kristin is the Logistics Director overseeing travel, local accommodations, and any other administrative duties needed to assist the amazing OXFF team with the Festival. Kristin lives with her husband Stephen, a graphic designer, and teenage son. They have lived in Oxford for over twenty years, active in their church, Oxford High School Marine Corps JROTC Booster members, and have a heart for brining arts to the Oxford community.

Programming Director

Brian Ratigan is an award-winning director and film curator. He is the founder of Non Films, a label for ephemeral animation and experimental cinema in New York City. Ratigan is established in the film festival circuit as a programmer and juror for the Slamdance Film Festival, Atlanta Film Festival, Chicago Underground Film Festival, Indie Memphis, and the London Indie Festival, among others. His work has been featured in the New York Times, Moviemaker Magazine, 1883 Magazine, and film festivals worldwide.

Documentary Team

Damon has been involved with the Oxford Film Festival since 2016 volunteering on the documentary team. He is also an actor and producer working on several made in Mississippi independent feature films and documentaries.
